I recall
the first time that I worked with Isabella. It was a series
of shots done in a studio for Bazaar. The editors hired a
"hand model" for some of the shots because they considered
Isabella's hands...well, not sufficiently long, and
slender.
I framed Isabella's
face, and body, but the other model, slipped her hand into
the photos ever so cleverly to give the impression that it
was Isabella's hand that we were seeing.
I've always
regretted that; though Isabella's hands may not have been
considered as "attractive" as those of the other model,
Isabella's hands had "soul" which just was not evident in
the final shots.
This photo was taken
with a long lens...just off of Fifth Avenue (if I recall
correctly)...and I have no regrets.
